Founded by Richard Burke and Bevil Hogg in 1976 out of a barn in Wisconsin, USA, Trek has become a global brand. Cycling is a great way to become part of a community, and Trek provides the cycling gear to make that happen. Find your friends, the ones who just don’t get it, calling you obsessive? Trek’s community doesn’t think so. They have a custom handmade bike program called Project One, once you become a Project One owner you are also part of a club available to those based in the U.S. and Canada.

Going into a store and buying a bike is one way. Having the experience of going to a factory, picking out your frame, and custom designing every part of your bike with the help of Trek is another. Most likely you will find others just like you also customizing their bikes, so let’s make an itinerary for you. Head to Wisconsin and enjoy Trek’s factory tour, followed by meeting like-minded riders at the Trek Café as you get to ride your new bike on a Trek lunch ride. Last stop?
